Welcome Back Denisonians

We are so excited to meet you and introduce a whole new level of dining at Denison!

Who We Are

At Denison Hospitality, we expect our food to taste good, but we want it to be much bigger than that. We want you to know where it comes from, how it’s made, who prepared it through endless storytelling. When you return to campus, you’ll notice that we share our culinary story with 100% transparency on the Denison Hospitality website, digital signage, and chalk signage highlighting our daily menus with nutritional info, local partners, and allergen information. We use fresh, vibrant, responsibly sourced ingredients to create exciting flavors from down the street and around the globe. We have engaged with nearly 25 local businesses to remind you of home right from our backyard!

Our world-class chefs, hospitality team, and food enthusiasts are ready to create dishes and experiences that meet every need with an option for everyone.

We bring fresh ingredients and new ideas together in a way that encourages personal growth, meaningful connections, and a strong sense of community. We are a team of chefs, hospitality experts, and food enthusiasts delivering a different kind of culinary experience. Quality is our commitment, and our chefs go beyond technique and flavor development to bring you a quality meal from sourcing to preparation.

We believe in preparing food that is safe for you and essential to a healthy life. So, our commitment is to help you power your activities on campus with good food and a dining program that makes it easy for you to eat right. It’s why we have healthy and wholesome choices available every day, and it’s why we have nutrition and wellness programs that help take some of the mystery out of healthy living.

What’s New

allgood: The Table at Curtis Dining Hall will feature an allgood destination, which is curated without the Top 9 Allergens. Students with food allergies, athletes or folks just looking for wholesome dishes will all be satisfied dining at allgood.
The Table at Huffman Dining Hall will also feature an allgood pantry destination filled with snacks, mixed pastries and goods for those with dietary or nutritional restrictions that will be linked to their Denison ID card.

The Hive: Slayter Market will feature The Hive Culinary Studio, a culturally diverse dining destination that constantly evolves based on dining trends, Columbus and Granville area chef partners and yep, you guessed it, your feedback!

Just a few of The Hive concepts to be on the lookout for are:

  • Hello Bowl—a variety of bowls that are nutritionally balanced and packed with flavor.
  • Hickory—the best of traditional American BBQ.
  • La Sabrosa—authentic favorites and new flavors from Latin America and Mexico.
  • Nakiri—globally inspired dishes like sushi, pad thai and ramen.

Late Night Bites @ The Nest:

We will have a late-night kitchen available through Grubhub Mobile and pick-up from Slayter Market. A fresh, new menu with an emphasis on sharing savory and sweet charcuterie and dessert boards. Select a chef-designed board or create-your-own. Choosing your charcuterie board brings a whole new and exciting meaning to group think. And no worries, Denison Hospitality still has us covered with classics like mac and cheese and cool flatbreads.

Take it to-go with ReusePass

In line with Denison University’s waste reduction initiative, we are continuing our reusable to-go container program Greenies, now powered by ReusePass in partnership with Topanga. This program will be implemented at The Table at Huffman and The Table at Curtis dining halls at the start of the fall semester, followed by at Slayter Market this September. By participating in the Greenies to-go program, powered by ReusePass, you can help Denison Hospitality achieve its sustainability goals while also taking steps to protect the environment.

If you would like to participate in this sustainability program, compostable Greenies boxes will be available to all who choose to take part. You can sign up for the program at the Table at Huffman or Table at Curtis dining halls at the start of the fall semester, or stay tuned on our Instagram for pop-up events where you can also get signed on through the Reusepass academy.

Save money and support the chase to reduce waste one plate at the time!
