What’s New This Spring!
Thank you for a great 2024-2025 school year, Denisonians! We are so excited to welcome you all back in the spring with some exciting changes that will enhance your dining experience to an even BIGGER level.
What’s New
The Table at Huffman:
- Elevated toast station selections with a variety of house-made local jams and spreads
- Addition of ‘plant power’ station, greener by default serving up plant forward recipes daily for lunch and dinner
- Weekly rotation of pasta and grain bowl action stations from FuelD during lunch and dinner
The Table at Curtis:
- Integration of made-to-order pasta stations on a rotating basis from entrée
- Additon of chef specials from allgood during breakfast and deli station for lunch and dinner
- Increase of hearty, seasonal soup offerings
Slayter Student Union:
- Reuseable cups now offered at Slayter Market (Greens N Grains smoothies) and Common Grounds
- Addition of breakfast burritos and a hash brown patty from Slayter Market Broad St. Grill breakfast
- Return of the ‘Smokehouse burger’ from Slayter Market Broad St. Grill lunch and dinner and BBQ grilled chicken sandwich
- Addition of the following spreads and toppings from Slayter Market Greens N Grains salads and grain bowls: bacon bits, roasted edamame, black bean and corn salad, crumbled feta, vegan shredded mozzarella cheese and a hard-boiled egg
- Addition of the following new items from Slayter Market Greens N Grains deli: classic BLT, vegan chik’n caesar wrap, buffalo chicken flatbread, chicken, bacon and ranch flatbread, limited time offers
- Brand new Hive Culinary Studio Concepts coming:
- Nakiri – Japanese inspired with customizable ramen bowls and bao bun side options
- Roots and Shoots – plant forward, customizable bowl options with seasonal and fresh toppings, vegetables and sauces
- Addition of large pizza and pretzel shareables from the Nest and Sweet Loren’s cookies (made without the Top 9 allergens)
Slivys:
- Plant powered ‘Slivy’ sandwich added to the menu
- Bavarian pretzel sticks now available as a side option
DFuse:
- In addition to MTO Acai bowls, students can now customize yogurt or overnight oat bowls with 2 fruits & 2 crunchy toppings for a filling breakfast
- Enhanced bread & bagel options under toasted including bagels & GF bread option
- Addition of Collagen as smoothie add in
- Expanded sports nutrition retail products
- Monthly LTOS: starting with a cherry and vanilla recovery protein smoothie (with nutritional messaging)
- Grab & Go options added to grub hub to improve visibility of these products
Returning Campus Resources
Order up from Grubhub Mobile Campus!
Each of our restaurants outside of our all-you-care-to-eat venues (The Table at Curtis and The Table at Huffman) offer mobile ordering through our friends at Grubhub Mobile. You can easily link your meal plan with your mobile ID card to access both regular and meal exchange menus (meal exchange menus available from Slayter Market, Slivy’s, Dfuse and The Nest) which offer unique variety of combo options consisting of a side and beverage, or beverage only (depending on the restaurant) for a meal swipe!
Our managers and supervisors on the floor or at the cashier stations at participating restaurants are happy to help you get set up on the mobile app, answer any questions you may have, or direct you to any of the kiosk machines located outside of Slayter Market if you’re dining with us there.
Just download the “Grubhub” app on Google Play or the Apple Store for no cost to start ordering your food on the go! Greenies-go boxes are available at various restaurants for those who choose signed up and choose to take their order in a compostable box.

We are proud to be partners with ReusePass and offer compostbale green boxes (Greenies) at the following restaurants: The Tables at Curtis, Huffman, Slayter Market and Slivy’s, plus now reusable cups from Common Grounds and Greens N Grains smoothies at Slayter Market
You can have more than one ‘Greenies’ out at the same time; however, we do recommend you return or exchange your box each time while participating in the program so we can track and manage the impact YOU all are making on campus and for our planet.

Health & Wellbeing
Meet Rachel, the Health and Wellbeing Manager at Denison Hospitality. Rachel is a Registered Dietitian and huge foodie, advocating and educating about nutrition and sustainable health habits across campus. She is also a division 1 Alumni and ran track and cross-country at the University at Buffalo. Rachel enjoys running, cooking, cycling, and exploring new foods, embodying a lifestyle of wellness in all she does.
Rachel works closely with the culinary team and management staff to ensure there is a variety of nutrient-dense choices available across campus every day to support well-being. She is also our rockstar allergen management leader, training staff and educating students how to navigate allergies and specialty dietary needs on campus. Rachel works closely with the Hoaglin Wellness Centre and Athletics to ensure all students get the nutrition support they need. She offers 1:1 counseling, campus dining tours, individualized and team sports nutrition support, and can be found running pop ups or hosting special health focused events across campus. Rachel’s services are free to all students and do not a require a referral.

Eat Like A Denisonian
Denison University offers a variety of meal plans tailored to fit your busy schedule and tastes. Meal plans are convenient, flexible and loaded with options. They also give you easy access to dining restaurants all across campus with a range of hours as early as 7:00 am and late as 1:00 am when the fall semester starts.
First-year, sophomore/junior meal plans include a certain number of meal swipes to access The Tables at Curtis or Huffman. Unused Meal Swipes do not roll over and reset weekly on Sunday morning.
First-year, sophomore/junior meal plans also include a portion of the meal swipes that can be used as meal exchanges that provide meal options at Slayter Market, Slivy’s, DFuse or at The Nest. Unused Meal Exchange Swipes do not roll over and also reset weekly on Sunday morning.
Flex Dollars are declining balance that can be used at grab-and-go locations on campus, (such as Slayter Market, Slivy’s, and The Nest). Flex Dollars roll over from fall semester to spring semester, but do not roll over to a new academic year. So be sure to spend all your Flex Dollars by the end of spring semester. Also included in your meal plan are Big Red Bucks which can be used at over 20 different partnering restaurants in Granville.
