Rooted in Wellness: Healthy Eating on Campus

The Table at Curtis served up a fresh start to the semester with an exciting new addition to our dining program at Denison University—Rooted, our dedicated vegan station!

This vibrant new space is designed to expand our inclusive dining options, and it’s already making waves on campus. Whether you’re a longtime vegan or someone just looking to try something new, Rooted has something for everyone.

The decision to add more vegan-friendly options came after hearing from our guests last fall, where the need for a broader variety of plant-based dishes became clear. We listened and are thrilled to bring Rooted to life with a fresh, exciting menus full of flavor and ingredients that everyone can enjoy.

Since the station opened, we’ve been serving up seriously delicious dishes that are already becoming campus favorites. In the first few weeks alone, our quinoa with roasted veggies and potatoes, tempeh fajita tacos with Spanish rice, refried beans, and vegan sriracha mayo, Channa masala with basmati rice and ginger green beans, and crabbyless crab cakes have all been big hits. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared to keep your taste buds satisfied and your body fueled throughout your busy day.

Rooted is open daily for both lunch and dinner, offering delicious, plant-forward meals that will keep you energized and feeling good all day long. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite between classes or sitting down to enjoy a meal with friends, Rooted is here to offer a wholesome dining experience that supports your healthy lifestyle.

We’re all about creating a dining experience that meets the needs of our diverse community, so we’d love to hear from you! Your feedback is incredibly important to us, whether it’s about your experience at Rooted or dining on campus in general. Click here to let us know how your experience was.
